CKIC Hocent Invited to Attend the 44th Plenary Meeting of ISO/TC34/SC4 - Cereals and Pulses

June.24 ISO Food

From June 10th to 12th, 2025, the 44th Plenary Meeting of ISO/TC34/SC4 - Cereals and Pulses was held in Changsha, China. The event was organized by the Standardization and Quality Center of the National Food and Strategic Reserves Administration and co-organized by the Food and Strategic Reserves Department of Hunan Province. The meeting aimed to "harmonize China's grain standards globally, amplify our voice in international grain norms, and lead the way in global grain standardization," facilitating global standard coordination and technological exchanges in the cereals and pulses sector.
The meeting focused on the formulation of international standards for cereals and pulses, as well as in-depth explorations of optimizing grain standardization management systems and technological equipment for grains. Ms. Wang Shuchun, General Manager of Hocent, was invited to attend the meeting and deliver a speech. Hocent, a subsidiary of CKIC, also showcased its latest research and development equipment, demonstrating China's technological leadership and innovation capabilities in the grain sector, effectively promoting the application of cutting-edge technology and the formulation of international standards.
During the meeting, experts from the International Organization for Standardization/Technical Committee 34/Subcommittee 4 on Cereals and Pulses (ISO/TC34/SC4) and the Hunan Provincial Technical Committee for Grain and Material Reserves Standardization (HUN/TC42) visited Hocent for research and investigation. They gained a detailed understanding of Hocent's comprehensive solutions and applications for grain safety testing and toured the grain application laboratory. They highly recognized Hocent's groundbreaking research achievements in the field of grain testing, particularly the DMA1000 Direct Mercury Analyzer, which boasts advantages such as compactness, portability, accurate results, and simple operation, making it possible to achieve full coverage of heavy metal mercury detection across the entire grain industry chain. The research activities conducted during the meeting not only recognized Hocent's existing achievements but also provided direction for its future development. Hocent will systematically organize and fully incorporate the constructive feedback provided by the expert team. Guided by the product development principle of "Simplicity in Analysis, Precision in Results," Hocent will deeply focus on the testing needs within the grain industry, continuously optimize the performance metrics of its equipment, and strive to build an intelligent analysis system characterized by precision, efficiency, and portability. Simultaneously, Hocent will advance the development and iteration of technical standards, providing core technological support to fortify national food security safeguards.
